Michael English For Christmas Concert in Abbeyfeale

The very popular entertainer and singer Michael English and his band will perform in concert in Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Abbeyfeale on Friday 6th of December.

All funds raised at this concert will go towards the running the parish resource centre St. Ita’s Hall.

“St. Ita’s Hall is a very important resource centre for the parish and local community. It is used by 18 organisiations and clubs,” said Fr. Tony Mullins, PP of Abbeyfeale at the announcement of details of the concert.

Groups Based in the Hall

These include: West Limerick Resources Office; the Wednesday Ladies Club; Parents and Toddlers Group; Abbeyfeale Youth Club; Abbeyfeale Community Council; Crafty Corner and Feale Crafts; Creative Writing Group; Abbeyfeale Drama Group; Pastoral Council; Health and Well-Being Courses; Social Health and Educational projects; Fleadh by the Feale; Legion of Mary and Fundraising Coffee Mornings.

Base for Essential Services

St Ita’s Hall, also known as Halla Íde Naofa, is a base for essential services that support people in the Abbeyfeale community and surrounding area in education, family support, personal development, health programmes, youth ministry and provides meeting facilities.

Annual Running Costs

“We receive a certain amount of funding from West Limerick Resources, towards the running of the facility, but not enough income is generated to meet the annual costs of running the centre,” said Fr. Mullins.”

“Michael English is a very popular singer, musician and entertainer. He is including Abbeyfeale as part of his nationwide tour.

“The concert is on the 6th of December and will also include Abbeyfeale Senior Church Choir, under the direction of Dee Dennison and the very popular Lost Souls, led by Dr. Mick O’Donnell.

Tickets are on sale at Ann Lyons’ Shop; Moss Harnett’s; O’Donoghue’s and at the church in Abbeyfeale.
