The idea was to provide a free and reliable source of local news, paid for by advertising and promote our small corner of the world both within and without of its own modest borders.
However, since the world has fallen into the grip of the COVID-19 crisis, we’ve lost the ability to rely solely on advertising to power our efforts and are forced to turn to our ever increasing audience.
A subscription to The Maine Valley Post costs a mere €5 per month, significantly less than the price of a weekly newspaper.
June 2020 saw us hit our highest monthly readership, clocking up over 91,500 views.
