Golf Taster Night for Ladies

Castleisland Golf Club in conjunction with the Confederation of Golf in Ireland are holding a Taster Night for ladies golf on this Tuesday July 1^st at 6:30pm.

Captain Margaret’s Prize Day

Castleisland’s golfers were greeted with good weather as they teed off last Sunday for Margaret Moloney’s Lady Captain’s Prize day. It was a fantastic day for golf, resulting in some brilliant scores. The winners certainly had the right prescription. Dr. Anne Fleming took the ladies prize while Dr. Brendan Mullins was winner of the lady captain’s prize to the men. To add to the high spirits of the day the clubs junior golfers returned from Beaufort golf course where they had just progressed to the third round of The Fred Daly Trophy. The boys had a 4/3 win over Doneraile and received a standing ovation when they returned to Castleisland to join in the Lady captain’s day celebrations. They go on to play Ballybunion in Killorglin on July 8^th. Team members are: David O’Donoghue, Colin McCarthy, Ronan Cross, James McAuliffe, Dylan Guirey, Sean Prendiville, Tadhg Walsh and Connie O’Connor.
