There is no ordered, selection process in our weekly Friday Favourite / Postcard from the Past slot here on The Maine Valley Post. I go off on a virtual trip through my archives from time to time and often get lost in there.
I could be wrong but I don’t think we’ve featured rugby in any of its aspects in the Friday slot yet. I’ve come out of the cobwebs with a team that caught my eye today.
It’s the Castleisland Rugby team which defeated Tralee 15-0 in the Division 3 Munster Junior League at The Crageens on a Sunday afternoon in January of 2005 and it includes: Bernard O’Connor, Paudie Crowley, John Brosnan, Denis Reidy, Brian Fleming, Brian McMahon, Patrick Hickey and Billy O’Sullivan.
