Are you confident that you know all there is to know about the internet and the sites that are currently in vogue? If you’re not then you are probably worried about the safety of many of the sites that your child is using. Is online bullying a concern for you? If it is then Castleisland Family Resource Centre may have the solution.
The centre, in association with Kerry Education and Training Board, will provide two short courses in Cyber space awareness and cyber bullying. The first will run on October 9th and 16th, the second will be held on October 23rd and 30th, classes are two hours long and will run from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and places are limited.
If your child is not yet at the internet stage the centre still has plenty for you over the coming weeks. A parents plus parenting course for parents of children in primary school will commence on Tuesday, October 6th. The course will be delivered by a KETB expert and will run for six weeks from 7pm-9pm each week. To book either of these courses or to enquire about any other courses at Castleisland Family Resource Centre contact Liz on 087 7553066.
