It’s winter-time at Castleisland Family Resource Centre and the people there are now taking registrations for the following courses which will run over the season:
Scéalta le Chéile is an Irish themed course for parents who would like to learn or improve their Cupla Focal. The course will be delivered by the Kerry Education Training Board and will run on Mondays commencing Monday, November 17th from 10.30am -12 noon.
Benefit 4 Internet training in association with Kerry Flyer commences on Wednesday, November 19th for four consecutive Wednesdays from 2pm-4pm. Limited to nine places.
Parents Plus for parents of adolescents will commence on Monday, November 24th for six sessions. The course will be delivered in association with the Kerry Education Training Board. Course time is 7.30pm – 9.30pm
SafeTALK suicide prevention training. SafeTALK aims to increase awareness of self harm and suicide. This four hour work shop which will be delivered by HSE facilitators will take place late November on a date to be finalised.
Children’s Christmas Craft workshop for children ages six to 12 years -of-age. There will be two sessions, the morning session will run from 9.45am to 12.45pm and, the afternoon it will run from 1.30pm -4.30pm. Places are limited on all courses and you can book by ringing: 087 75 530 66.
