Award Winning Facility
Bright Beginnings is located in the award winning Castleisland Family Resource Centre. The preschool opened in March 2009 with just three children and is now at full capacity.
Pupils at the facility are encouraged to learn to play, share and socialize and are provided with a good start for when they go to ‘big school’.
“Children can fall behind quickly when they go to school if they haven’t mixed with their peers or learned basic social skills. Further problems arise if they don’t have a basic grasp of language.
The preschool will support them to develop their language/social and personal skills which will facilitate an easier transition to primary school,” said resource centre spokesperson, Liz Galwey.
Craft Workshops
The centre runs various craft workshops for children of primary school age during holidays and mid-term breaks. It also conducts a weekly yoga session for children with additional needs during the school term.
A summer camp for children with additional needs will run from July 6th to July 10th and a limited number of places are still available. The centre can be contacted on this and any other business on: 087 75 53 066.
