The Kerry Junior Football team to play Cork in the Munster final at Páirc Uí Rinn at 7-30pm on Wednesday evening shows two personnel and a number of positional changes from the side that defeated Tipperary in the semi final.
While Thomas Hickey, Desmonds; Philip O’Connor, Cordal and James Walsh, Knocknagoshel are on the starting 15, Brosna’s Adam Barry and Eamon Kiely have been selected among the subs.
The team contains six of the side defeated by Cavan in the All Ireland Junior final last year namely: Shane Murphy, Gavin Crowley, Brendan O’Sullivan, Philip O’Connor, Brian Crowley and Thomas Hickey.
Twin brothers, Gavin and Brian Crowley were members of the Under 21 team this year while Spa club-mates, Dan O’Donoghue and Liam Kearney were members of the successful Kerry Minor Team last year with two more of last year’s minors, Brain Sugrue and Jordan Kiely listed among the substitutes.
David Culhane comes into the defence in place of Greg Gibson and Brian Crowley comes in at half forward in place of the injured Denis Daly. Brian Sugrue of Renard and Jordan Kiely of Dr Crokes join the substitutes list. The team, captained by Alan O’Donoghue of John Mitchels, is as follows:
