Funny thing about the UK based, Castleisland sourced, four-piece band Fallings is that this time last year it was a case of London calling. Now it’s Dublin calling back as their songs are being played on 2FM. The band members are: Jack Kirwan, David Nelligan, Denis Cremin and Robbie O’Connor and they’re looking for our votes to help them to a milestone in their music making careers.
There is a public vote dependent opportunity opening up for them to get a crack at playing at the Electric Picnic and this is where we – the people here at home can help. And it’s so easy to vote.
“Delighted to say things are flying here and we’ve also just been shortlisted back at home by 2FM for a chance to play at this year’s Electric Picnic festival.I’m just wondering if there was any chance you could give it a mention in The Maine Valley Post to help give us a push with votes.
We have been shortlisted from nearly a thousand acts for the final 30 of the competition, alongside some of the top emerging artists in the country, for the chance to perform at one of Europe’s largest festivals, so it is a real honour,” that’s David Nelligan letting us know that all’s well with the four-piece band ‘Fallings’ on the other side of the pond – as he put it. “From the 30 acts, 10 are selected from public vote to perform at Electric Picnic, so every vote counts really. Since being shortlisted the song has also been aired on 2fm so it’s a great boost really!
The voting stays open until this Friday July 24th, so fingers crossed! Voting takes only a couple of seconds, the poll is available here:
