The wailing of ambulance, Garda and fire brigade sirens alerted the locality to the fact that someone in the community was in a spot of bother shortly after 8am this morning.
The focus of attention was a road traffic accident on the Tralee Road in front of Walsh Colour Print.
Traffic was cut to a stop and go single lane arrangement while the emergency services freed the occupants from the car.
The good news is that no serious injury resulted from the accident.
“There’s no one badly hurt – thank God,” was one Garda’s summing up from a situation which appeared far more alarming than the result bears out.
