Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club held its AGM earlier this week and the following officers were elected at the first executive meeting of 2016.
President: Donal Kelleher. Vice Presidents: Jim Greaney, Dr. Dave Geaney, Kevin Dillon, Mary Horan, Mary Murphy, John Joe Walsh and Billy Broderick.
Chairman: Jimmy O’Connell. Vice Chair: Michael John Kearney and Dan Lynch.
Secretary: Colm Kirwan. Treasurers: Willie Dom O’Connor and Angela Ring O’Donoghue.
PRO: Gerard Murphy. County Board delegate: Sean McCarthy. Cultural/Scor: Tomas Ó Conchuir
Insurance: Denny Lyons. Field Development: Martin Downey, Timothy Twomey and Dan Lynch.
Coaching Officers: William O’Connor and Niall Mitchell. North Kerry delegates: Jimmy O’Connell and Seán McCarthy. St. Kieran’s: Timothy Twomey and Michael John Kearney.
Team Management: Seniors: John McGaley, Mike McCarthy and Dave Geaney.
Juniors: Edmund Hartnett, Colm O’Shea and Niall O’Connor.
U21: Edmund Hartnett with a senior and a minor selector.
Lotto: The next Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club Lotto draw takes place this Saturday, January 23rd in Browne’s Bar with a Jackpot of €4,100. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.
Child Protection Workshop
All mentors and officers involved with juveniles this year must attend the county board designated workshop on the coming Monday, January 25th. in the River Island Hotel from 7pm to 10 pm.
