Local Daffodil Day co-ordinator, Marie Walsh would like to thank the transition year students from local schools who gave so freely of their time for the 29th annual Daffodil Day collection on Friday March 11th. The Presentation Girls’ Secondary, Colaiste Phadraig Naofa and Castleisland Community College all played their part in the effort.
“A special thanks to all the people who helped on the day at the various collection points and to the national school children for their help.
“To the people of the locality who donated fresh daffodils and to you the general public for being so generous with your donations – we thank you all sincerely. The final tally for the collection is €8,562,” said a grateful Ms. Walsh.
