The John West Féile Peil na nÓg Southwest local organising committee has issued invitations to GAA clubs to be represented at the official launch on Monday evening May 9th from 6.45pm in Brosna.
The committee requests that a member of each club’s senior and Coiste na nÓg executive, U14 team mentor and an U-14 team captain in club colours would be in attendance. Any other interested members of the clubs in the area are welcome to attend.
GAA Presidents
The event is being hosted by Knocknagoshel/Brosna GAA at the Brosna GAA Club pitch. Proceedings will commence at 6.45pm. GAA President, Aoghán Ó Fearghail and LGFA President Marie Hickey will be the guests of honour on the occasion.
The programme of events for the evening is as follows: Commencement at 6.45pm with an U-14 Girls and Boys Blitz at Brosna GAA Club pitch.
Dignitaries will be transported to ‘The Point’ – a meeting place of the three counties, Kerry, Cork and Limerick – for a brief ceremony and press photo opportunities. They will return to Brosna at 7-30pm.
Blitz Medals
At 7.45pm to 8pm both presidents will present medals to the players at the blitz and this will be followed by a number of short speeches.
Refreshments will follow, kindly provided by hosts Knocknagoshel/Brosna GAA. Parking is only in the vicinity of Brosna GAA Club pitch. Please follow the instructions of the local stewards. The John West Féile Peil Na nÓg local committee wish to thank Knocknagoshel/Brosna for hosting the launch.
