Apart from the wonderful weather and the growth it’s promoting everywhere, comes another reminder that summer is here.
Denny McSweeney sent a message to inform us that the Currow/ Currans Community Games will be held at An Ríocht AC Track on this coming Monday evening, May 16th from 7.15pm.
There will be competitions from Tiny Tots to U-16s and the entry fees is €2. Winners on the evening will go forward to the grand gathering of Kerry Community Games finals which have been held in the ideally suited stadium over recent years.
I found a collection of photographs from the 2010 Currow / Currans Community Games evening which was also held at An Ríocht.
As well as flagging Monday evening’s games they will also provide some memories – all good I hope – to those who took part back then and who are now all grown up and mortified at the sight of them.
