Local Performers Rehearsing Mad for Lip Sync Battle

Castleisland AFC will hold a major fund raising event, Lip Sync Battle Castleisland in the local community centre on Friday, March 31st. 2017 at 8pm.

Based on the concept of the US Hit TV show Lip Sync Battle, the show gives performers the chance to take to the stage and perform as an iconic music legend.

Solos, Duets and Groups

There will be solos, duets and groups on the night, with the contestants decked out in costume to get as close as they can to the real thing.

This fundraising drive started the end of January with 12 well-known acts, and over 50 people involved.

This group has been meeting twice a week to practice with choreographer, Cassie Leen and have put in a lot of hard work to perfect their acts.

Great Night’s Entertainment

“While we will not be revealing the stars or bands our own performers will be impersonating until the big night, we can assure you, from what we have seen, there will be a great night’s entertainment to be had,” said a Castleisland AFC spokesman.

Tickets are €20 each and went on sale on Wednesday, March 8th 2017 from: Tom McCarthy’s Bar; Shoemaker’s Bar; Sno White Dry Cleaners and The Mad Ones Shop.

“Doors open on the night at 7pm and we would encourage everyone to get their tickets early as there is a limited on the number of tickets available.

“We look forward to seeing everyone on the night and all monies raised will go towards the development of an artificial turf playing pitch in conjunction with Castleisland Community College,” the spokesman concluded.
