The next meeting of the members of the Killarney Municipal District will be held in the Town Hall in Killarney on Wednesday, April 5th 2017 at 10am.
Among the items which will come under consideration are these questions concerning issues in Castleisland, Currow and Scartaglin among other areas.
List of Concerns
High on the list of concerns for locals in the above mentioned areas are the following questions and their sponsors:
Cllr. Bobby O’Connell:
“What is the up to date position on a sewage scheme for Scartaglin.”
Cllr. Maura Healy-Rae:
“To ask Kerry County Council if Irish Water have been made aware of the need for an extension to the public sewer in Castleisland to cater for the needs of areas such as College Road, Brosna Road, Cordal Road and the Black Road which has been sought for over 40 years.”
Cllr. Bobby O’Connell:
Reception of a deputation from the residents of Barrack Street, Castleisland regarding traffic calming measures.
Cllr. Maura Healy-Rae:
“To ask Kerry County Council to provide a schedule of street cleaning works being carried out in rural villages such as Currow, Scartaglin, Firies, Barraduff, Gneeveguilla and Rathmore.”
Cllr. Maura Healy-Rae:
“To ask Kerry County Council if Irish Water have been made aware of the need for a public sewer in the Villages of Scartaglin and Currow.”
Cllr. John Joe Culloty:
“As trucks occasionally become wedged on the bend at Twiss Bridge in Counguilla, I call on this Council, to undertake simple measures to rectify this very dangerous occurrence.”
Cllr. John Joe Culloty:
“What was the overall cost of replacing the culvert at Tullig, Castleisland and has all the money which was granted been spent?”
Cllr. John Joe Culloty:
“That this Council contact the OPW, regarding the obstructions in the waterway upstream, from the new culvert in Tullig Castleisland towards Killbanavane.”
Cllr. John Joe Culloty:
Approval of the deputation from concerned parents and teachers regarding traffic management at school times in College Road, Castleisland.
