Good Luck to Labhaoise and Kayla

Congratulations to Labhaoise Walmsley and Kayla O’Connor who are both involved with the Kerry Ladies Minor team that take on Cork this coming Bank Holiday Monday May 1st. 

This game will be played on the Dr.Croke’s Pitch on Lewis Road. Killarney.

Throw in at 1pm.

Seniors off to Caherciveen on Sunday

Desmond’s senior men’s team travel to play St.Mary’s  Caherciveen in Round 2 of this year’s intermediate championship on Sunday. Throw in for this game is at 2:30 pm.

The seniors defeated Spa, Killarney in the last round on the Easter weekend to progress to Round 2. Best wishes to all of the players and management on this very important match.

Next Lotto Draw on Saturday May 6th.

The last Desmonds GAA Club Lotto draw took place in the Shoemakers last Saturday.  The numbers drawn were 6, 25, 26 and 29.  There was no winner of the jackpot of €2,800.

The next Lotto draw will be on Saturday May 6th at a venue to be confirmed.

Great reception for Desmonds in Kenmare

The boys minor team traveled to play Kenmare in the semi final of the county league last Friday. They were unlucky to lose on the night on the score of 3-8 to 2-8. They have had a good season so far and we wish all the players the best for the rest of the season.

The club wishes to thank Kenmare GAA Club for the food and drinks that were provided for the team and management after the game it was much appreciated.

U-16s Still in Central League

The U-16 boys team is still involved with the Kerry Central Region League. The boys traveled to play Ardfert on Monday the 24th but were unfortunately beaten on the score 4-19 to 2-6 by a very strong St. Brendan’s side.

On the night, they still made the semi-final of the competition where they play St.Pats of Blennerville on Monday May 1st at home. Throw in at 7pm.

Listowel Date for U-14s

The U-14 boys play Listowel in the next round of the Kerry county league on Wednesday, May 10th at 7pm in Listowel.

They played Keel/Listry on Wednesday night in a very entertaining match but lost the game by 3-20 to 5-9.

U-12s Head for Scart on Sunday Morning

The U-12 boys team play Scartaglin on Sunday 30th  in the county league in Scataglin with a throw in time for this game fixed for 11:30am.

Tots Training on Friday Evenings

The U-6, U-8, and U-10 boys have training this coming Friday at 6:30pm at Moanmore.
