Successful Presentation and Race Night for Desmonds

Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club’s Presentation and Video Horse Racing Night at the River Island Hotel proved a great success.

We wish to thank all of those who sponsored races on the night and to all of those who bought horses and supported the event  on the night.

We presented awards to the Desmond’s senior girls that represented Kerry with great honour during the year in Lorraine Scanlon, Aisling Leonard, Andrea Murphy, Labhaoise Walmsley, Eilís Lynch and to under age players who also represented Kerry during the season: Kayla O’Connor, Gemma Kearney, Paris McCarthy and Jessie Cahill.

Minors and U-17 Kerry Players

Presentation’s were also made to Adam Donoghue, David Shanahan and Luka Brosnan who represented the Kerry Minors and U-17 boys’ teams during the season.

There was also a special presentation made to Dr. Dave Geaney for his involvement with the last four All Ireland Kerry winning minor teams.

Thanks to all of the club officers who worked very hard over the last few weeks in making it a very enjoyable night for the supporters and players .

Minors Out of North Kerry Championship

Desmond’s minors finished their season on Saturday when they travelled to Brosna to play Listowel in the semi final of the North Kerry championship unfortunately losing on the day.Contact-banner
