The AGM of Knocknagoshel GAA Club was held on Saturday night, December 9th with a number of changes at the helm of the club.

Noel Brosnan handed over the baton to Dan Roche after an eleven year stint as chairman of the club Dan will be joined by John O’Keeffe as secretary and Kitsy Fitzgerald who steps into the role of PRO.

Officers Elected for 2018

The following officers were elected for 2018: President: Tom O’Connell; Vice Presidents: Christy Brosnan, Lar Hickey, Micheal Walsh, Richie Walsh, Thomas O’Connor, Gerry Brosnan, Eamonn Walsh,  Dan Neligan, Sean Lyons and Paud Scanlon.

Patron: Fr. David Gunn; Chairperson: Dan Roche; Vice Chairperson: Noel Brosnan; Secretary: John O’Keeffe; Assistant Secretar: Mike Murphy; Treasurer; Anna Marie Curtin; Assistant Treasurer: Kathleen Curtin; PRO: Kitsy Fitzgerald; Lotto Co-ordinator: Kathleen Curtin and Steven O’Connell; Children’s Officer is to be confirmed after Coiste na nÓg AGM.

New Year Lotto Jackpot of €6,800

The lotto draw for a jackpot of €6,700 was held on Saturday night in O’Connor’s Bar, Knocknagoshel.

The numbers drawn were: 11, 16, 25 and 27. There was no winner of the jackpot. The five lucky dips of €100 each drawn went to: Peter Murphy Ballydesmond; Johnny Cronin, Moyvane; Sarah Delaney, Knocknagoshel;Tom Young, Templeglantine and Mark O’Brien, Killarney.

Next Draw at Eddie Walsh’s Bar

The next draw will be for a jackpot of €6,800 and will be held in Eddie Walsh’s Bar on Saturday January 6th 2018.

Tickets are available from: Kieran’s XL; Leahy’s Post Office; the local bars and usual sellers.
