Stephen Murphy Awarded ‘Outstanding Achievement’ Scholarship From U.C.C.

Everyone at St. Patrick’s Secondary School, Castleisland is delighted with the news this week that Stephen Murphy,  who completed his Leaving Certificate at the school this year,  has been awarded the UCC Quercus Entrance Scholarship for the 2018/2019 academic year.

Outstanding Leaving Cert

Stephen has been awarded the scholarship on the basis of his outstanding achievement in the 2018 leaving certificate. Stephen achieved 601 points in his leaving certificate and is now in UCC studying Law and French.

Excellence in English

Stephen received the Jim Lyons award for excellence in English at the school earlier in the year. Stephen will be presented with his scholarship on Thursday December 6th by the president of UCC, Professor Patrick G O’Shea at the scholarship Awards ceremony.

A Great Achievement

This is a great achievement for Stephen and his family and well deserved. Stephen is a son of Monica and Stephen Murphy, Moanmore.
