The late Bernadette Leahy N.T., Brosna and Castleisland

The late Bernadette Leahy, N.T. (right) pictured on a special day for Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal and the local environment  as Moira O’Connor planted the first of the little grove of Oak trees on the riverbank near the school in April 1992. The death has occurred of Bernadette (Bernie) Leahy (nee Tobin) 43 Tralee Road, Castleisland, Co. Kerry and late of Reacashla, Brosna.

Retired N.T. Muire Gan Smál Presentation Primary School, Castleisland. Died peacefully on December 2nd 2018 in the presence of her loving niece Bernie under the excellent care of Dr. Sheehan and her team at the Palliative Care Unit of University Hospital Kerry.

Beloved wife of the late Dan.

Sadly missed by her loving nephews and nieces, especially her niece Bernie and her husband Jim, all extended family, relatives, carers, neighbours and many friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Tangney’s Funeral Home, Church Street, Castleisland on Monday evening from 5pm to 7pm.

Followed by removal to Castleisland Parish Church.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11am followed by private cremation. No flowers please. Donations in lieu to Palliative Care.
