First Lotto Draw of 2019
The first draw of 2019 was held in The Shoemaker’s Bar on Saturday night. The numbers drawn were 2, 11, 12 and 28.

There was no winner of the jackpot of €5,600. Lucky dip prizes were won by: Amy Crowley, Kilcow, €30 and €20 each to Linda Kennedy, Knockanalig; Garrett McCarthy, Kilcow; Jeremy Burke and John McCarthy, Castleisland.

Club Fixtures
he seniors play the next round of the North Kerry league on Sunday week, 17th v Listowel in Castleisland at 2pm.
The minors have their first outing of the year on Saturday 16th v Milltown/Castlemaine at 3pm also at home.
Scór Na bPáistí
SCOR is a GAA organised competition that seeks to promote Irish music, singing and dance.
Scór na bPáisti is limited to pupils in national schools.
Competitions will be organised in the following categories: table quiz; solo singing; recreation and story telling; ballad groups; instrumental music and set dancing etc.
The semi-finals will be held in Castleisland on Saturday, March 23rd with the finals scheduled for Sunday, April 6th.
Interested students or their parents should contact their school, the juvenile and ladies sections of the club or Colm Kirwan at 087 2375168.
Wrong Martin / Right Martin
Last week I stated that Martin O’Donoghue was also involved with the minors it is, in fact, Martin Downey – so, apoligies to both Martins.
North Kerry League
Desmonds 1-13 Finuge 2-7
Desmonds got off to the perfect start with a three point win over Finuge.
Down three points at half time, Desmonds fought back to earn the points on their first outing of the year. The scorers were: Thomas Lynch 1-5; Cian O’Connor 0-3; Denis O’Connor 0-1; Barry Lynch 0-1; Patrick Horan 0-2 and Tadhg Walshe 0-1.
Ethen Reidy made his senior debut and also Cian O’Connor made a welcome return to the team after along absence.
Team: Steve Bartlett, Cian Mangan, Denis O’Connor, Ryan Mc Guire, David Shanahan, Gearoid Leonard, Ciaran Breen, Cian O’Connor, Brian Leonard, Micheal Walsh, Barry Lynch, Ethen Reidy, Thomas Lynch, Patrick Horan, Stephen Murphy, Tony Walsh, Man of the Match was Thomas Lynch.
Congrats to Kerry Ladies
Well done to our local senior ladies players: Lorraine Scanlon, Andrea Murphy, Eilish Lynch, Aislinn O’Connell and Robyn White who were on the Kerry ladies team which played Clare in their first round of the league on Sunday.
The game ended in a draw: Clare 4-08 to Kerry’s 1-17.
