
Club Executive Meeting
An executive committee meeting of Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club will be held on this Wednesday night in the River Island Hotel at 8:30pm.
All membership fees are to be paid in on the night.

Desmonds Seniors at Home on Sunday
Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club seniors play their first round game of the county league against Dromid Pearse’s next Sunday in Castleisland at 2pm.
It is important that the team gets off to a good start and we would encourage supporters to rally behind them. They then travel to Glenflesk which is fixed for Sunday, 17th.
Minors also at Home
Desmonds minors play their round three game in the county league Saturday at 4pm in Castleisland.
It is important to get back to winning ways after the loss to Keel/Listry. They play Kilcummin away on Saturday, 16th.
The minors lost 7-19 to 3-7 on Saturday in round two of the county league. Scorers for Desmonds were: Mark Hickey, 0-4; Jamie Heffernan, 2-3; Oisin Nolan, 1-0; Best for Desmonds were: Mark Hickey Declan McCarthy and Jamie Heffernan.
Scór na bPáistí
A reminder that the semi finals of Scór na bPáistí for primary schools will be held in Castleisland on Saturday, March 23rd at 4p.m.
Gaeltacht Scholarships
The GAA is offering a limited number of scholarships again this year to its juvenile members to participate in residential courses to improve their Irish through lessons, sport, music, song and dance.
The students must be aged 12 to 17 attending a post primary school and be registered members of Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club. Scholarship application forms will be available from the club after St. Patrick’s Day.
