North Kerry Championship – Drive Still On

The drive is still on as Brosna managed a draw against the favourites Ballyduff on Sunday last.

By: Mairéad Moriarty

A strong Ballyduff side pulled ahead significantly in the first and second halves only for a dogged Brosna to work hard and smart to secure a draw.

This performance shows a determined attitude with an increase in confidence in our players.

It may have been a disappointing year for Brosna but it’s clear to see how much these fellas want to end 2019 on a high.

Replay in Listowel this afternoon, Saturday, November 30th at 2pm.

Support is vital to cheer on the Tangerines!

School Victory I

Loughfouder National School had a comprehensive win in the Alliance Cumann na mBunscoil two teacher schools county final last Thursday evening under lights at Austin Stack Park.

With a score of 6-6 they saw off the Scoil an Chlochain which scored 1-3.

A homecoming party was held in the Knocknagoshel Community Centre that night.

Congratulations to Loughfouder’s principal, our very own Liz Lane and her two sons, David and Mark who were significant contributors to the win.

School Victory II

Abbeyfeale Secondary School was crowned Kerry Colleges’ champions in a high intensity game against Kenmare.

Congratulations to the Brosna contingent who go to make up this winning team: Conor Lane, Jamie O’Sullivan, Jason Murphy and Paul Walsh.
