Graduation at Bright Beginnings Pre-school was very much one with a difference this year.
Gone are the days of parents, grandparents and siblings sitting down for a cuppa and listening to nursery rhymes and songs. However, the staff at the Church Street pre-school made up for the absence of a social morning by organizing a drive-by graduation.
Certs and Caps at a Distance
Some children received their cert and ‘cap’ through the car window while others opted to walk and get within two metres of their favourite teachers.
Sunflowers and year books were passed out, smiles were plentiful and there was praise galore for pre-school leader Mairead O’Connor, assistant Cathy O’Shea and staff member Mary Sheehy.
Visit from Garda Kelly
The girls were joined on the day by Garda Stephen Kelly who kept the traffic flowing in an orderly manner, made sure that social distancing was adhered to, he even posed for some pictures.
