The Keeping Kerry Active programme which is being promoted by Kerry Recreation and Sports Partnership (KRSP) in conjunction with Sport Ireland is urging you to give pitch and putt a try and support your local Castleisland club by doing so.

A Chance to Get Active

The club has been recently approved as one of a limited number around the county to give people a chance to get active by trying out a sport or activity that they may not have previously done and all for just €10.

The once off payment will give you the chance to play the course for a total of five games.

“The hugely discounted offer is supported by KRSP funding to the club on behalf of the participant and this makes it a ‘win win situation’ all round,” said Keeping Kerry Active Programme Officer, Donal Barry.

Professionalism of Amenities Impress

“We are hugely impressed by the professional amenities that Castleisland Pitch and Putt Club has to offer,” said Mr. Barry.

“It’s important that smaller clubs and activity providers are supported under these programmes as they aim to increase participation.

“Castleisland is a real hub for sport, and it is important that Kerry Recreation and Sports Partnership recognises this and supports smaller clubs like Castleisland Pitch and Putt Club which provides ideal opportunities for people to be active,” he said.

About the Programme

The Keeping Kerry Active 2021 (KKA) programme, which is supported by an investment from Sports Ireland through the Keep Well programme seeks sports providers and clubs to submit a four hour programme which will encourage members of the public to get active as well as show-casing their own skills.

Back to Being Active

The programme offers providers with support to help them get back on their feet by getting them to offer a range of innovative courses, which in turn will help to get people back to being active.

While Kerry sports clubs will also be able to access funding aimed at increasing their memberships, successful applicants / sports businesses receive grant support up to €400.
