October Sunday Date for ‘Show Castleisland Care’ Initiative

An invitation is going out to service providers in the field of mental health and well-being to put their wares out there at a ‘Show Castleisland Cares’ initiative at An Ríocht Athletic Club on Sunday, October 10th. from 11am to 2pm.

The event is being flagged as a ‘Wellness Day’ by the newly formed, organising group ‘Show Castleisland Cares.’

“This is a family friendly event with lots of activities for children on the day. It is free for service providers and groups to have a stand and free entry for the public,” said event spokesperson Oorla Casey.

Range Of Supports and Services

“The aim of the event is to showcase the range of supports and services that Castleisland

and the surrounding areas have to offer in the field of Mental Health and well-being,” said Ms. Casey.

The invitation list includes: sports clubs, nutritionists, fitness instructors, therapeutic services, alternative therapies and local businesses.

With COVID 19 regulations in mind, invitees may offer demonstrations on the day.

‘Show Castleisland Cares’ is a group of people who have come together to raise awareness of the available supports and services in Castleisland and surrounding areas.

“This Wellness Day is one of many events being held across Kerry for the Kerry Mental Health and Well-being Fest, which takes place from 9th -16th October 2021,” said Oorla.
