Seventh Green Flag for Students and Teachers at Muire Gan Smál

Delighted pupils of Muire Gan Smál National School with their well earned and the school’s seventh Green Flag award earlier this week. 

The students at Muire Gan Smál National School, Castleisland were delighted to take delivery and display  their school’s seventh Green Flag earlier this week.

“The Global Citizenship: Energy Flag was awarded in recognition of the huge efforts on the part of students and staff to conserve energy, reduce waste and create a more eco-friendly environment,”said teacher Claire Smith.

“The school has a long tradition of participation in the Green Schools Programme.

“Huge thanks to the Green Schools co-ordinator, Caitriona Leen and to the Green Schools committee.

“Massive congratulations to all involved in this huge achievement, The students are already excited to explore our next new theme: Global Citizenship: Marine Environment,” said Ms. Smith.
