He achieved major accolades on the national stage for leading the Student Enterprise Programme, where the school has won 27 county titles and seven national titles.

Innovative Progressive School

On his appointment Mr. Dargan said that he was delighted to be appointed as principal to Presentation Castleisland Secondary School and he is looking forward to leading such an innovative, progressive school to a very bright future.

“I am looking forward to working with our highly committed and dedicated staff to provide the best educational experience for our students,” he said.

Mr. Dargan’s immediate predecessor, Katherina Broderick has been appointed principal at Presentation Listowel. This is a post which was just vacated by her predecessor, Eileen Kennelly who has retired. Ms. Kennelly was principal in Castleisland from the spring of 2012 to the summer of 2014.

We wish them all well in their futures.
