A Night of Celebration for Castleisland AFC on its 50th Anniversary

Castleisland AFC honoured former Chairman Martin Tigue at the club’s 50th anniversary celebrations in the River Island Hotel on Saturday night. Castleisland AFC celebrated its 50th anniversary in style when a huge crowd attended a celebration dinner in the River Island Hotel on Saturday night.
On the night the club honoured six former chairmen of the club for their dedication to the club over the last 50 years.
The late Georgie O’Callaghan was represented by his brother Jamesie and the late Michael ‘Tappy’ Conway was represented by his sisters Anne and Eilish.
The late PJ Luddy was represented by his wife Phil and children Peter and Sarah.
Also honoured were: Martin Tigue, Phil O’Connell, Mike Brosnan and the club surprised current Chairman Patrick O’Rourke with an award for his dedication and hard work over the years.
