Kielduff Community Centre Among Beneficiaries of €375,366 CLÁR Funding – Foley

“Supporting projects like Kielduff Community Centre is a key part of the Government’s policy for rural Ireland,”-  Minister Norma Foley.

Minister for Education and Kerry T.D, Norma Foley, has welcomed confirmation that 10 local projects in Kerry will benefit from an allocation of €375,366 under the 2023 CLÁR Programme.

Today’s announcement is part of a further €6.2 million allocation under the programme to 152 projects nationwide.   

The local projects supported in Kerry include improving access to White Strand Blue Flag Beach, the enhancement of Derrymore Beach Car Park, the extension of the existing playground in Kenmare, improvements to Ballyheigue Community Centre, construction of an accessible picnic area in Barraduff, enhancing road access to Banna Strand, the creation of a community garden at Tarbert Community Centre, renovation works at Kielduff Community Centre, upgrading facilities at Camp Community Playground and improving energy efficiency at the CYMS Killorglin.

Minister Foley said that she welcomes confirmation that 10 local projects in Kerry will receive over €375,000 in funding under the CLÁR programme.

“Supporting these projects is a key part of the Government’s policy for rural Ireland, Our Rural Future.

“There is a wide variety of projects that will receive funding, from €50,000 for the extension of the playground in Kenmare to €49,500 for the enhancement of Derrymore Beach Car Park.

“Investing in Our Rural Future and supporting our rural communities are key priorities of Government. I will continue working to ensure that our rural communities benefit from projects that will make them more vibrant places to live, work and visit,” Minister Foley said.
