Castleisland District Macra is hosting a recruitment open night / bowling night this Friday, February 23rd at 8:30 at Bowling Buddies in Tralee.

“We’re looking for new members aged between 17-35 years of age and Macra Na Feirme is for everyone not just farmers,” said recruiting officer, Maurice Roche.

“We host a wide range of events and competitions such as: bowling; quizzes; public speaking; basketball; indoor soccer and traditional agricultural events such as dairy and beef stock judging and farm skills.

“If anyone is interested in joining the club, they can come to the open night, if they can’t make it on that occasion they contact myself at 085 7026916 about joining or any other events they may be interested in – we’d like to encourage new people to join and we’d love to hear from them,” said Maurice.
