An Ríocht Athletic Club 50/50 fundraising draw took place at the club headquarters at The Crageens on Friday.

Club memeber and international athlete Shona Heaslip was on hand to present Helen O’Sullivan from Kilgarvan with her cheque for €674 which she won the previous week.

Helen and friends were in Castleisland a couple of weeks ago to gather spot prizes for the annual, early August Kilgarvan Show and she wandered into Walsh Bros Electrical and scored.

She bought 50/50 draw tickets from Joe Walsh and her luck was in last week. Helen’s envelope was drawn from the drum by Dylan Broderick when the weekly draw was held at Centra, Main Street.

Shona Heaslip also drew the winning ticket at Friday’s draw and Karen McAuliffe Hurley from Brosna and Killarney won €676.

This week’s draw will take place at 4:15pm Jackie Reidy’s Menswear and Newsagents – a new venue for this draw.
