Expect Road Re-Surfacing Delays in Farranfore on Monday and Tuesday Evenings

Cllr. Charlie Farrelly is warning of impending roadworks in Farranfore where an estimated 17,000 vehicles per day go about their business in all directions. Delays can be expected there from 7pm to 6am on both the coming Monday and Tuesday evenings and nights due to road resurfacing works. ©Photograph: John Reidy

Due to complaints from constituents Cllr. Charlie Farrelly brought it to the attention of Kerry County Council that the surface of the road in Farranfore Village was in urgent need of a revamp.

The necessary repairs are in the wake of last year’s water mains works in the area and the resultant resettlement of the finished road resurfacing there.

One infirm local lady toppled over after her walking aid hit a pot-hole and she unfortunately lost her balance.

There will be a stop and go operation in place in the village on Monday and Tuesday, July 15th and 16th from 7pm on boths evenings to 6am on the following mornings.

Major traffic delays can be expected on all approach roads in and around Farranfore for the duration of the works.
