The Transition Year (TY) induction at St. Patrick’s Secondary School was a resounding success, setting the tone for an exciting and fulfilling year ahead.
Held on Friday, August 30th, the event included a series of fun team-building activities aimed at fostering camaraderie and cooperation among the students.
In the afternoon, the TY students joined forces with their peers from Presentation Secondary School for a session at Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club pitch.
Getting to Know You
Engaging in a variety of activities, including relays, piggy back races, wheelbarrow races, and team-based games, the students had the opportunity to bond and get to know each other better.
This joint event was particularly significant given the schools’ longstanding tradition of collaborating on various trips, activities, and subject sampling throughout the year.
The TY induction provided an excellent platform for the students from both schools to interact and build lasting friendships.
A Positive and Memorable Experience
Overall, the TY induction at St. Patrick’s was a positive and memorable experience. The fun team-building activities not only helped the students to settle into their new class but also laid the groundwork for a successful and enjoyable Transition Year.
