The annual Nora Geaney Memorial Golf Tournament was played at the Maine Valley Members Golf Club in Killorglin on Saturday last, September 21st.
Open to both female and male players the event attracted 50 golfers from a wide geographical area.
A great day was had by all in Maine Valley Golf Club Saturday at the Nora Geaney Memorial Golf tournament .
In all 50 people played in the tournament and prizes were presented to both ladies and gents.
The results are as follows.
Ladies: winner, Breda O’Connell. 43 points; second, Ann Stuart on 40 points and third, Margaret Curtin on 37 points; Gross, Maria O’Connor.
Gents: First, Kevin Fitzgerald; Second, Johnny Burrows and third, Seamus O’Neill; guest, Stephen O’Leary. Draw on the cards: D J Geaney, Gerard Walsh and Paul Geaney.
