The annual Castleisland Golf Club Drive-In went ahead this Sunday morning, January 12th in spite of the frightfully inclement conditions.
The event had to be called off earlier this month due to worse conditions than those which prevailed this morning.
The just installed officers were joined afterwards in the club-house by fellow members as the worsening conditions and driving rain lashed the countryside around them.
New captains: Margaret Moloney and John O’Connell and presidents: Ann Stuart and Maurice O’Connor hoped for better conditions for the year ahead as they settle into their roles at the scenic and beautifully developing course at Tulligubeen. The course is now facing into its 13th. year of service since is was opened in the summer of 2002.

Club Lotto: The Castleisland Golf Club Fundraising Lotto is now up and running with the first draw on February 2nd. Full details on how to play are on the club website or contact the clubhouse on 066 7141709. The lotto is open to everyone and your support would be greatly appreciated.
