Kerry Sinn Féin TD Martin Ferris and Listowel Town Councillor Dianne Nolan have welcomed the announcement by North and East Kerry Development that is to provide funding to build a new purpose built Day Care Centre for older people in Greenville, Listowel.
“This is really welcome news for older people living in Listowel and surrounding areas. It is estimated that up to one-in-four people in the area live alone and this facility will be a huge boost for these people,” said Deputy Ferris.
“As well as the boost for the older people living in our communities this project will also mean that up to 10 people will be employed when the centre is fully functional and with new jobs at a premium in the area this is most welcome,” said Cllr. Nolan.
