It took a keen-eyed Lithuanian native, Ballymacelligott based fashion photographer to ‘Spot’ that all was not quite right with a ‘Stop’ sign at a road junction here in Castleisland.

“I love framing the street sign in my fashion photograph as the colour can compliment so much the garments the models may wear on the days.

I have recently begin to use a beautiful countryside around Ballymacelligott and Castle Island for my shoots,” said Kornelija Adamkute.

“I examine a portfolio recently with my partner, Gabija and she point out the SPOT and we both begin to laugh at the same time. Imagine that we stand on that place and make pictures for one hours and did not notice that there was ‘something up’ as you say here.

“I grab my camera and my partner and we go back right there and make more picture before it is going away. It is near Castle Island and a man cycle by and ask why I make so many pictures of a road and I point out the Spot to him. We all laugh so much and when he get on his bike we hear him laugh as he was far down the road,” said Kornelija.

“I read the book of Con Houlihan and I see he spell Castle Island like this. Yet it is not like this on your sing posts. May I find the reply to this question here ?  she asked.

PS: I’ve done a quick tour of the likely areas around the town and failed to find the Spot. It’s amazing how we look at things and fail to see them. A fresh pair of eyes uncovered the flaw – even if it was in a photograph after she had visited and photographed it.
