They’re not going into the ‘Rag Trade’ per se but members of the Cordal GAA Club will probably handle more clothes than those who are. The club is set to conduct a ‘Massive Easter Clothes Collection for Recycling Campaign’ and the members are looking for any of the following items: Clothes;  Bed Clothes; -no duvets;  Belts; Shoes in Pairs; Handbags; Curtains; etc. The collection times will be as follows: Easter Saturday, April 19th 2014 from 10am to 4pm.

“The club has been working hard in the last number of years providing the best facilities possible to the public,” according to a note from the club. They’re watching the grass growing on their lush, new sod with great satisfaction. All the fundraising activity is almost like a farmer fertilising his fields in preparation for the seasons ahead.

” We really appreciate your support in any way. Anyone who donates a bag of clothes will be entered into a Free Draw For 2 Garth Brooks Dublin Concert Tickets,” according to a flyer from the club.

The clothes collection points will be at Cordal Community Centre and outside Jackie Reidy Menswear Castleisland.

“If you are unable to reach these collection points we will collect from your door on the day.

To arrange collection in the Castleisland catchment area and to avail of your free raffle ticket you can contact the club on 087 2285653. E-mail:  secretary.cordal.kerry@gaa.ie  or just leave outside your door during collection times. Please tell your family and friends. Thank you for your support.”
