Scartaglin National School had a visit from Breda Bucke last week. Ms. Bucke, a Bóthar representative from Limerick, gave a power-point presentation in each classroom. There she outlined the work done by the charity Bóthar.
The 102 pupils in at the school have raised in the region of €900 over the past few months to help families in need in the Developing Countries of the world. A great tradition exists in the Scartaglin school of fundraising for different missionary charities.
There was great excitement in the school yard when a parent from the school brought in goats which will be donated to Bóthar also.
