Hospice Walk Numbers Up

This year’s Good Friday Hospice walk was a huge success with numbers well up on last year. Liz Galwey sent the following report.

While final figures for the fundraiser are not yet available, chairman Jack Shanahan is delighted with the response and says that ‘funds are still coming in.’

Once again the event was blessed with a fine day and for the first time ever some joggers turned up to lead the pack on the route from the Gael Scoil, past Crag Caves and down Churchtown before returning back to town.  All monies raised will remain with Kerry Hospice. The committe would like to thank all those who helped out during this years walk, the drivers who led and followed participants and all those who supplied refreshments at Downey’s.

If anyone out there still has money to hand up or would like to make a donation they may do so by dropping it into Jack Shanahan’s Haven Pharmacy at Garvey’s Super Valu or by making contact with any committee member.
