Friday Favourite from 2004

The St. Mary's U-10 Basketball team created its own bit of history in October 2004 in Castleisland when it played in the first County League game for that age category. The Castleisland girls played Lee Strand from Tralee and came off second best on that occasion. This week’s Friday Favourite concerns an U-10 team from St. Mary’s Basketball Club. The girls  made history at the Castleisland Community Centre one morning in October 2004 when they became the first team from the club in that age category to take part in the county-wide competition. Have a look at the faces before looking at the caption and see how many you can name.
