Facing the same financial slump that clubs throughout the country encountered, Castleisland Golf Club is fighting back . Signs in various, strategic locations on the approach roads to the town will catch the eyes of golfers and corporate event organisers alike.
An EGM earlier this year alerted the membership to the financial downturn at the club due to the fall-off in memberships and that of local players using the much admired facility at Tulligubeen.
The roadside signs are a manifestation that the plans have indeed swung into action and time will tell if the present effort will bear fruit. Anyone interested in taking up the club’s incredible offer, for the rest of July and all of August, can ring Mairead on 066 71 41709.
