The Cordal GAA Club Greyhound Rag Meeting, which was due to be held on Sunday, August 24th, has been postponed to Sunday, September 7th.

Cordal clubmen, Philip O’Connor and Seán Og O Ciardubháin are on the Kerry Junior Football team and a consequentially large number of Cordal GAA Club members will be traveling to Portlaoise on the Saturday for the game against Cavan.

A ‘grass roots’ survey told the organisers that the Philip and Seán Supporters Club and Travelling Party will then onwards go to Croke Park on Sunday 24th to the Kerry senior and minor All-Ireland semi-final games.
“There and then it was decided – in consultation with the land owner, David O’Connor – to postpone the Monster Greyhound Rag Meeting until Sunday, September 7th at 10.30am.  Anyone who hasn’t already entered a greyhound can still do so by contacting 087 2056150. For those who have already entered – their entry will still stand. Cordal GAA Club wished to apologies for any inconvenience caused,” said their on-the-ball spokesperson, Nora Fealey.
