A Sliabh Luachra Music Master Class will be conducted by Nicky and Anne McAuliffe on this Saturday September 6th from 10am in the Heritage Centre,Scartaglin.

This will provide young musicians with the  opportunity to spend the day with master fiddle players and music tutors. This is a part of the Sliabh Luachra Music Trail programme of events which was launched in Ballydesmond in March and further rolled out during the height of the summer in Scartaglin.

In keeping with the key objectives of the Sliabh Luachra Music Trail, an education programme is being developed which will give budding Sliabh Luachra Musicians an opportunity to work with experienced music tutors who specialize in the Sliabh Luachra style and repertoire.

The class is fully funded by Arts offices of Cork and Kerry County Councils. The first of these one day master classes will take place in The Sliabh Luachra Heritage Centre, Scartaglin on September 6th.

If you are interested in booking a space free of charge, you’re invited to contact Bridie Garvey at the Heritage centre on 086 33 90789.
