Castleisland native and young Forest Green Rovers goalkeeper, Paul White is off to Gloucester City on an initial one month loan.

The former Republic of Ireland U-18 schools representative earned a Rovers contract while on trial with the club in the summer of 2013 and had his deal extended for the current season.

He made his cross-channel debut with Forest Green Rovers Football Club which is based in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire and was founded in 1889.  The club is affiliated to the Gloucestershire County FA

The 19-year-old made the adventurous move to England from his home base where he previously featured with League of Ireland side Cork City.

After initially going out on loan last season, White made his competitive Rovers debut against Wrexham in the final league match of the season as a replacement for their regular ‘keeper.

Paul is now looking to get the chance to earn some experience from this move.  He takes part in a friendly this week and then a trip to Boston United in Lincolnshire on Saturday. Good luck to Paul in his career from all his friends and neighbours in Castleisland.
