Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club ladies’ team will take on Dublin side, Kilmacud Crokes in the  All-Ireland Intermediate Championship semi-final on this Sunday, November 16th at the new time of 1pm.

The Desmonds ladies will have home advantage and the throw-in has been brought forward from the generally advertised time.

As is the great tradition of Castleisland teams, this Desmonds side is made up of neighbours’ children – for want of a better term – but hill and valley have all contributed star players to the line-up.

Out of that, the organisers and team management are hoping to attract a huge swell of support for the ladies on the day.

They delightedly announced at Sunday morning training that Con’s Bar and Grill of the River Island Hotel had generously sponsored a set of track suits for the team.  Manager, Willie Buckley was there to make the presentation and he wished both team and management well in their efforts to get to the All-Ireland final on Sunday. Good luck to all in their quest.
