A presentation of Christmas Hampers took place in Garvey’s SuperValu in Castleisland on Sunday morning. Castleisland Golf Club members were the recipients and Garvey’s the sponsors.
The hampers were the prizes for the Christmas League which was run over four Sundays with the three best scores to count. This was won by Kevin Kerins. In second place was Brendan Brosnan and third place was Pat Lynch.
“Garveys are one of our many loyal sponsors and Castleisland Golf Club members appreciate their input to the running of the club. We look forward to their participation in 2015 as we’re setting out as a members’ club. We are currently on a membership recruitment drive and it’s going very well.
We are offering a club membership fee of €350 on a phased basis. You can join for €100 now and pay the remaining €250 in January. It’s the perfect Christmas present and an ideal opportunity for anyone thinking of taking up the game for the new year,” said outgoing captain, John O’Connell.
