Brosna Comhaltas Music Classes for the New Year

The recently established branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoirí Éireann in Brosna has set its programme for 2015 in readiness with a series of music and dancing classes.

Craobh spokesperson, Daniel Woods sent the following line-up of classes in the traditional instruments and dance of the area with the times and venues included. He also inserts the proviso that the classes will come about only if the people of the catchment area show interest in sufficient numbers and support the initiative.

The programme includes: Céilí and Sean Nós Dancing on Friday evenings from 5 to 6pm will resume on January 9th with Anne-Marie Nelligan at €50 for 10 weeks.
Set Dancing Classes for children will recommence on Monday, January 5th in the Parish Hall at 3:15pm at €50 for 10 weeks.
Music lessons in the Rambling House will recommence on Thursday, January 8th. Tin Whistle class 7 to 7:30pm. Accordion class 7:30 to 8pm. €30 for five weeks. €55 for two children. Fiddle Lessons will start on Friday, January 9th in the Parish Hall at 6pm at €30 for five weeks. Contact Darragh on 087 317 0122
Brosna Comhaltas also has two accordions and one fiddle for rent at €20 for three months.
